Penni Jo - Soul in Chaos

Penni Jo was classically trained as a teenager, and then moved into singing backing vocals for contemporary Christian music. In 2014, she began writing her own songs, first around faith but then about pretty much whatever she wanted to write about. In 2018, she appeared on The Voice of Germany, impressing the judges with the raw emotion of her cover of Tom Wait's "Tom Traubert's Blues". She sings soul music for most of her shows, but can also switch back to high soprano and coloratura when she needs it. In 2021 she began producing her own songs, because it goes much quicker. In 2022 she appeared on All Together Now for Sat1 and Joyn.
