Info [Deutsch, English below]:
JanglePopHub beschrieb die Single Want More? aus The Board‘s 2022er L.I.R. Schöne Melancholie in ihrer kostbarsten Form.“

The Board, established in 2017, is David Meyer (singer & guitarist from Cape Town), Peer Liertzer (Bass) and Sascha Eversmeier (drums).
The band comes from a background of 90s-style indie and alternative music, with many stylistic and geographical influences already apparent in its 2019 debut album, Minimum Viable Product.
As IndieBerlin wrote at the time: "With influences from metal to dream pop, the record covers a lot of ground across its 41-minute playtime… The melting pot of sensibilities is one that rewards a close listen."
JanglePopHub described the single Want More?, from The Board’s 2022 L.I.R. EP, as: “A glorious mix of cinematic post-punk and faux jangled melodies. Beautiful melancholy in its most precious form.”
The Board was never content to sit still, and has recently been creating new, increasingly complex and counter-intuitive material, like on the 2023 EP Adaptation.
Blending the best of its back catalogue with a more muscular aesthetic and a widened soundscape.was and is still part of the journey.
For mid-2024, the band is planning on releasing a new 5-track EP which was recorded at G7 Studios Berlin (Knorkator, In Extremo) in April. It’ll cover hefty Stoner & Grunge territory but might also surprise with plenty of lightfooted and delicate moments.
This is an act that’s in the process of evolving, making the trio’s live shows an exciting must-see. Weniger anzeigen
