Because I want to reach as many people as possible… i try to write our BIO in English.
And; say „SORRY“ to those who don‘t understand it!
Did‘nt you HAD Lessons in School???
Anyway…

„Let the Madness BEGIN!“
(Opening ShoutOUT by Mister Osbourne, at EVERY „OZZY-Concert“)

WELL; going straight to the 70 (actually i‘m younger~ 68)… i STILL can NOT stop „that Madness“!

WHAT the F**k ARE those „CosmoNoMADs“?

Cause i‘m/WE living in an old muddy, poor & (yepp!) dying Industrytown somewhere in the middle of germoney… (Media tells people, germany is one of the wealthiest, kinda RICH Countries in the WORLD!)…
the MAIN-Problem, when it comes to the idea
„LET‘S… make a BAND!“, is:

FINDING Women or Men… who CAN really PLAY their Instrument/Vox!!!!

Believe me; after Month, even YEARS (...) Mehr anzeigenof placing „LOOKING for MUSICIANS“-ADs in the local Newspaper,
I was moved to tears… when in 1989 a Guy called Karl Steinberg… invented a Software called „CUBASE Music-Studio“.

Instead of uncountable, frustrating Dates with (often just lying, within the 1st Foncall) People that „dreamed of being Musician“, and then… could‘nt even write the simple C-Major Scale on a Napkin, i stopped those Tasks… and bought CUBASE!

Scince my beloved „Father-Replacement“ (i’m the „Product“ of a Rape) Grandad Ernst was an aaaabsolut Music-Fan (although he didn’t play a single instrument)… he supported me with whatever i needed!

Piano-Lessons, Cello-Lessons, Concerttickets and, of course… my very first „wooden Girlfriend PAULA“ („born“ in the same year like myself, 1956), which is STILL ALIVE and better than ever.
Ernst died looong ago, but, oooh Boy;

TODAY I know how much he got into debt with a small miner's pension for "the boy should get a really good guitar"! 😢

To make a longer story short;

DON‘T get me wrong, please… my HEART was and IS in Love with that Idea „humanoid Musicgroup“, simply known as… a BAND. „Made of“ People from Flesh ‚n Blood, that KNOW HOW TO PLAY.

But… here the „Circle closes“… NOT, in our Town!
Thanks Grandad, around 1990 i was able to play half a dozen of Instruments, and; understood how Computers wanna be treated.

1994… my beloved Daughter was born, and… i started the „Sunshine DIARIES“.

My very first CUBASE-Songs… ALL for her, and as a One-Man-Band. Beside the Fact that those Songs became
surprisingly „The Hit“ for our kindergarten‘s Carers…
ME became more and more experienced with that CUBASE-Software.

To make a Living beside the Music???
Well, i completed a classical apprenticeship as a tailor, which, with a bit of luck, then enabled me to get a job at our city's opera house!
And… within this part of my life, Year after year, while working on stage, I got to know a lot of lovely and good musicians!

In a funny way, we often had „that DEAL“;
„YOU fix my broken Tuxedo… I teach you whatever you ASK FOR!“

Even my Name is „Reiner“, all the Artists called me simply „Ray“. And soon after the „Sunshine DIARIES“, my „adult“ Project „The Rayfactory“ was born… and that „One-Man-Thing“ went on.

There was not ONE Reason for giving up the Name „The Rayfactory“, but; you might know that too?
You simply found… a cooler Name!

And because i was‘nt „famous“… there was nothing to loose.
So,1998… „The CosmoNoMADs“ came to Life!

Again…A „One-Man-Band“-Project with varying Guests… Home-Recorded, BUT also LIVE-Performances.
THIS… is STILL my actual „Musical Baby“ in 2024.

WE… are, the „BASE“ of the Project:

* Me, Cosmo (Cello/Keys/Synths/Guitars//Bass)
* Holger [„the KATT“] Kattowski (Metal-GUITARs)
* Jens Pietsch (Programing & Mix)
* Mimi [„Mim FU“] Furatt (all female Voices)

Cause we‘re (in da Moment) „only“ play in my Studio,
there also are other Friends, which, depending on the need… are surely equaly important.

„WE are FAMILY!“ That Sister Sledge-Song brings it to the POINT:
The Comradeship, that „DOING TOGETHER“!

If you REALLY „survived“ this „Bible“ of a BIO, thanks!
The SONGS you‘ll hear are composted by myself, BUT… the FINAL Recordings are the „Children“ of everybody INVOLVED!
The same with all ARRANGEMENTS. Those shaped while recording & mixing.
