The Living

Formed in Canada in 2006, The Living is a collection of highly skilled musicians brought together by the combination of their classical training and their mutual passion for artistic exploration. The band's evocative name reflects the diversity of styles present in their music, as well as their desire to push boundaries and to continually grow.

The Living is known for their ability to blend several genres seamlessly into a single song. Indeed, the band takes much of its influence from classical composers such as Stravinsky and Ravel, rockers Queen and Muse, world artists like Ozomatli and Shakti, and progressive visionaries The Mars Volta, Bjork, and Mike Patton, among many others.
